Leah Weitzner is a singer, violist da gamba, and researcher. In 2021, she graduated from McGill University, holding a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance specializing in Early Music, and just completed a Master’s degree in Musicology at McGill under the supervision of Professor Julie E. Cumming. Her thesis examines poet-improvisation in the anonymous musical settings of Serafino Aquilano's strambotti and compositions of her settings in that style. Leah performs frequently in Montréal with groups including Ensemble Scholastica, Ensemble Alkemia, Studio de Musique Ancienne de Montréal, and more.
